At Facebook Reality Labs (FRL), we're developing the future of augmented reality. As a Program Manager on the Graphics team, you will work closely with Research, Silicon and Facebook. You'll be a critical member of a multi-disciplinary team contributing to our efforts making robust visual experiences possible in a low power envelope.

Compute power requirements of Augmented Reality require custom solutions. You will be a part of an innovative team working to create advanced protypes for our research and product teams. To be successful, you will be eliminating barriers to your team's success, clearly communicating results to all stakeholders and ensuring the big picture stays in focus while delving into the details on specific issues. Ideal team members are adaptable and resilient, eager to attack unfamiliar problems with curiosity and tenacity, and able to use a light touch to find ways to help the team be more efficient.

Required Skills:

  1. Work with research and engineering teams to develop early prototypes.

  2. Identify and communicate program requirements, scope, constraints, dependencies, and risks.

  3. Provide key stakeholders with full visibility of the program schedule, progress and potential roadblocks.

  4. Proactively identify technical, legal, procedural, logistical, and communication issues and drive creative solutions to fix them and manage risk.

  5. Ensure that the information your team needs is complete, current, accurate, and accessible.

  6. Coordinate communication between internal and external teams, vendors and partners.

  7. Establish best practices and refine processes for better communication and positive outcomes.

  8. Cross disciplinary communication of hardware, software and electrical system requirements.

  9. Ability to travel 30%.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  2. 7+ years of program management experience.

  3. Experience leading a team from concept to tape out.

  4. Project management, leadership, dependency management and cross-group collaboration experience across more than one geographic location.

  5. Communication/presentation experience through all levels of the organization, technical and non-technical.

  6. Experience working with a cross-disciplinary team of researchers, software engineers and hardware engineers.

  7. Early prototyping experience on new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Graduate degree.

  2. Strong understanding of computer graphics.

  3. Experience driving custom silicon programs where no predecessor chip exists.

  4. FPGA prototyping.
