Facebook LATAM Compliance Manager in São Paulo, Brazil

Summary:

Facebook's Global Ethics & Compliance team is looking for a compliance professional who is independent, passionate about compliance and ethics, and eager to work in a highly collaborative and fast-moving business environment. This role will report to the lead compliance manager responsible for the Americas region and will be responsible for front-line risk mitigation work for the LATAM countries, in addition to supporting other regional and global compliance needs. The ideal candidate must be fluent in English and Spanish and must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. As the first point of contact for local compliance matters, particularly the company's anti-corruption and fraud prevention efforts, the right candidate must be able to understand and assess risks across a wide variety of business areas - being able to build relationships with diverse stakeholders is critical, as is the ability to triage compliance issues and escalate appropriately.

Required Skills:

  1. Develop and execute compliance program initiatives across the LATAM markets

  2. Conduct risk assessments to identify compliance issues and develop appropriate risk mitigation measures

  3. Analyze local compliance approval requests and triage matters for resolution or escalation

  4. Develop and manage relationships with functional leaders and key stakeholders

  5. Partner with cross functional stakeholders to provide compliance support to the business

  6. Develop and conduct ethics & compliance training for employees and third parties

  7. Conduct compliance due diligence and oversight of third parties

  8. Monitor business activities for potential compliance risk implications and maintain a current understanding of relevant functional processes

  9. Provide support for compliance policy, process, and tool development and identify opportunities for programmatic improvements

  10. Manage periodic reporting on compliance activities in the region

  11. Up to 40% regional travel is required

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Self-starter with 5+ years of industry, consulting, or law firm experience in ethics and compliance, risk mitigation, business process consulting, or internal audit

  2. Experience in compliance matters relating to the FCPA and other anti-corruption laws and regulations

  3. Experience in conducting third party due diligence and oversight

  4. Experience in delivering live training for large audiences

  5. Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment and work cross-functionally with employees of diverse backgrounds

  6. Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong working relationships inside and outside the company, flexibility, a love of learning, and a collaborative team-oriented problem solving approach

  7. Impeccable professional ethics and high degree of attention to detail and rigor

  8. Strong analytical capabilities and excellent verbal and written communications skills

  9. Belief in and commitment to Facebook's mission

  10. Fluency in and the ability to write clearly and concisely in English and Spanish

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience in technology, advertising, telecom and/or media and proven knowledge of core business processes within these industries

  2. Proven track record of leadership and hands-on experience in compliance for global organizations

  3. Proven operational experience with implementation of compliance programs

  4. Fluency in Portuguese
