Summary:

The Creative Experiences (Creative X) team redefines creativity by delivering integrated marketing creative for Facebook. Our goals align with the broader Facebook company mission of community and bringing people closer together. We create experiences that help people discover, understand, and fall in love with Facebook's products and programs.

Our teams of Creative, Program Management, and Production challenge industry norms and drive big, bold brand thinking while also being responsive to product culture and needs. Our focus is outbound creative experiences including Facebook/social, TV, OOH and Global Events. All outbound consumer-facing creative and global events work is creatively developed and/or managed by the Creative X team. This ensures a consistent and strong creative narrative for work that reaches an audience of over 2.5 billion people. We scale with the support of external production partners and vendors, and take cues from our Facebook culture of moving fast, being bold, and iterating.

This role, Director of Program Management, will oversee Program Management for the Creative X team across Facebook and all of Facebook's products. It is a large team with multiple products, including a many of the company's largest priorities, globally. The candidate will be responsible for influencing marketing needs and plans with a creative business vantage, planning and leading team architecture, and oversight of successful campaigns.

This is an exciting leadership opportunity for someone who has experience managing multiple large accounts with marketing projects and/or operations in a marketing company. Your global integrated experience across the full palette of creative expression: traditional, digital (including products), experiential, and breakthrough ideas will be leveraged and inspire your teams. You will provide thought leadership in establishing, implementing, and improving creative process across Facebook. It is a wonderful role for leaders and builders, who thrive within a fast-paced, often ambiguous, start-up environment.

Required Skills:

  1. Team leadership:

  2. Lead and inspire a team of program management on multiple marketing verticals

  3. Guide Program Managers in building and optimizing systems, tools, and standards to improve work, and with vision aligned with marketing goals and plans

  4. Develop and coach to ensure the team is sharing creative work in an insightful way with the right stakeholders

  5. Effectively lobby and win support for major campaigns, creative innovation and new initiatives

  6. Lead quarterly team gatherings focused on vision and planning

  7. Planning:

  8. Influence and understand marketing plans for Facebook

  9. Develop a vision for building the Creative X team to support plans, including the types of resources and skillsets needed

  10. Lead with vision in working with Program Managers, Creative X leadership, and Marketing leadership

  11. Plan and understand resource requests, and coordinate resources across multiple projects and teams

  12. Partnerships:

  13. Create strong partnerships with Product Marketing Managers and leaders within the Product Marketing organization

  14. Help prioritize projects with Marketing Leadership based on impact, company objectives and resources

  15. Understand cross-functional partnerships and form relationships with Insights/Analytics, Research, and Communications Planning leads. Inspire your direct reports to do the same. Measure this collaboration, share and teach

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BA/BS degree

  2. 15+ years experience working with Marketing, Creative Agencies and Production companies

  3. Marketing account management and operations experience with oversight of multiple businesses and/or accounts

  4. Experience in the technology sector with examples of contributions at both strategic and operational levels

  5. Experience driving changes in operational processes

  6. Cross-functional collaborator experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Global experience in managing creative campaigns
