Summary:

Partner Engineering is a global team of Software Engineers who work closely with our strategic partners and world-class engineering and product teams to define, launch, and scale platform products at Facebook. In this unique partner-facing engineering team, you will use your excellent technical and business skills to deliver platform products that drive value for our community, our partners, and Facebook.

In this role, you will work on platform initiatives with the Social Good team. The Social Good team builds products that help to mobilize our community to make real-world impact, such as fundraising tools, Safety Check, and Community Help.

This position has option to be based in San Francisco CA or Menlo Park CA.

Required Skills:

  1. Deeply understand Facebook’s platform products and their underlying implementation

  2. Work closely with our top-tier developer partners in the Social Good space to integrate with Facebook’s platform products and ensure value creation

  3. Represent the external developer’s view on our products to help prioritize the product roadmap accordingly

  4. Represent Facebook and its platform offerings at developer events

  5. Develop tools and documentation to help scale Facebook’s platform products

  6. Develop sample code and other materials to share with the broader Facebook developer community

  7. Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 4+ years experience as a software engineer, technical consultant, or partner engineer

  2. Knowledge of consumer products on the web

  3. Knowledge of the Web technology stack (HTTP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS)

  4. Experience presenting to technical and business audiences

  5. Experience building software developed in (at least one) Python, Node.js, PHP, C/C++, Ruby, C#, or Java

  6. Knowledge of Unix/Linux environment

  7. BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree/experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience working with nonprofits, organizations, or companies in the Social Good space
