Instagram is looking for a Product Marketing Manager to support and grow our Small Business initiatives. This person will be responsible for developing insights that would fuel our go to market plans and long term SMB strategy. They'll be comfortable analyzing large datasets and combining this with qualitative research to find insights that the broader SMB teams can use to drive growth.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a customer-focused and quantitative PMM who can partner cross-functionally to identify key market opportunities, translate findings into product requirements and establish go-to-market strategies.
Ideally, this candidate will have a background in a quantitative or technical field, will have experience working with large data sets and data-driven decision making. Excellent analytical and communications skills and comfort with ambiguity and self-starting are a must. This is a full-time position based in our Menlo Park office.
Lead market and competitive assessment, and be the voice of small businesses by surfacing qualitative and quantitative insights to shape product direction and ensure product-market fit
Ensure the SMB PMM team has insights that help build SMB “go-to-market” plans
Identify the largest opportunities for SMB growth across the entire SMB product suite
Develop metrics to track and measure progress for SMBs across the Instagram platform
Ability to influence analytics roadmaps across product and non-product teams to build SMB insights
Minimum BS or MS in business-related or quantitative field
4+ years of business strategy, product marketing, growth marketing or product management experience
2+ years experience doing quantitative analysis
2+ years of experience in business strategy, investment banking, management consulting, or analytics
Demonstrated experience in data analysis (Excel), data retrieval (SQL), and presentation (PowerPoint)
Experience in business operations, investment banking/finance, management consulting with a focus in tech, media or advertising industries
Experience with analytical tools (Tableau, R, Python, etc.)
Ability to communicate the results of analyses with product, marketing and leadership teams to influence the strategy of the product
