Facebook is seeking a talented people manager to lead Solutions Architects in the North American region as part of the global client facing services organization. As the Manager, you will be responsible for leading, developing and coaching a team of highly skilled client-facing non-engineering technical SAs focused on deploying and integrating Workplace. Working closely with sales, product management and engineering teams, you will be responsible for developing trusted and highly credible cross-functional relationships. In this dynamic role, you will lead the team in the development and implementation of enduring and scalable processes to enable the long-term growth and success of Workplace.

This role is full-time and is based in Menlo Park/San Francisco.

Required Skills:

  1. Lead, develop manage and grow the Solution Architect's success through coaching and mentorship and a focus on team capability building

  2. Lead the team to effectively enable the Workplace team with high quality and relevant technical services for Workplace

  3. With an eye on operational scale and efficiency, enable and lead initiatives that support the development of efficiency and scale in day to day operations

  4. Provide clear and actionable feedback to the product and engineering teams highlighting the areas of greatest opportunity

  5. Develop and maintain a depth of industry, client and product knowledge that enables you to be effective as a leader and credible as a thought partner

  6. Foster knowledge sharing across teams. Where applicable, you seek to institute new processes to operationalize best practices

  7. As a leader in the organization, see the big picture and work well with cross-functional stakeholders to enable Workplace overall sales and product goals

  8. Engage with peers to plan and execute a common set of objectives

  9. Develop understanding of the Workplace system architecture, integration components and APIs

  10. Build knowledge on security, compliance and regulatory requirements

  11. Engage with clients to understand their business objectives and challenges, assist with customer engagement where necessary

  12. Willingness and ability to travel approximately 15% of time

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Experience as a solutions architect, technical consultant or partner/sales/solutions engineer

  2. People leadership experience, demonstrated experience leading and inspiring others to higher levels of performance

  3. Experience collaborating with and leading cross-functional groups to produce results

  4. English language communication and presentation experience

  5. Problem solving and analytical experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with and understanding of enterprise security, including user/identity management (e.g. Active Directory), protocols (e.g. SAML, Kerberos), concepts (e.g. Single Sign On, Mobile Device Management), certifications and common regulatory challenges

  2. Understanding of web and cloud technology (TCP/IP, HTTP, HTML, JavaScript, RESTful APIs)

  3. Experience and understanding of the technical, organizational and cultural challenges deploying cloud based software-as-a-service solutions into enterprise environments
