Facebook Global Industrial Hygiene Program Manager in Seattle, Washington


The Global Industrial Hygiene (IH) Program Manager will oversee execution of industrial hygiene program across Facebook’s Consumer Hardware Division (AR/VR) business units. This role is responsible for the development of strategic initiatives and goals for the IH program. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in IH matters ranging from control banding and exposure assessment to nanoparticles. Many projects in this role will involve hazards where standards don’t exist – help create best practices and standards for new technology! The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience implementing global IH programs, ability to collaborate cross-functionally and to influence management.

Required Skills:

  1. Development and improvement of all IH programs across sites

  2. Provide expert level assessment support at Facebook Consumer Hardware sites globally, across North America, Europe, and Asia

  3. Provide IH support for new facilities and projects as part of EHS design review

  4. Develop and implement industrial hygiene strategy for locations globally

  5. Develop and implement core industrial hygiene programs including, but not limited to nanoparticle safety, control banding, exposure risk assessment, respiratory protection, chemical safety, thermal exposures

  6. Serve as cross-functional resource for industrial hygiene

  7. Provide recommended exposure control strategies for R&D environments

  8. Lead occupational medical monitoring and health surveillance programs

  9. Develop indoor air quality program and response strategy

  10. Lead industrial hygiene center of excellence team

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Chemical Engineering, Occupational Safety or related field

  2. Minimum of 7 years work experience in industrial hygiene

  3. Minimum of 2 years experience leading Industrial Hygiene Program

  4. Technical writing experience

  5. Knowledge of chemical laboratory operations

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Master's degree

  2. Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
