Facebook is looking for an experienced Instructional Designer to join the Business Education team at Facebook. Business Education is a global training team that designs content to educate small businesses, agencies, marketing partners, and advertisers on how to meet their business goals using the Facebook family of apps and services. The Business Education team is entrepreneurial-minded and dedicated to delivering the ultimate learning experiences for partners across multiple channels. Our mission is to democratize scaled education for businesses big and small. Business Education creates the Blueprint learning content and has three pillars: Online (eLearning: online courses), In-Person (Live and Spotlight: interactive in-person workshops), and Certification (proctored exams that test advanced-level competency in Facebook advertising). The Instructional Designer will be a vital part of creating content for our new training programs and supporting to maintain the content with regular updates. The individual will work internally with teams across the Facebook organization to curate training content, explore new training methods, and build both ILT and eLearning education solutions to serve small businesses, agencies, and marketing partners. Required Skills:

  1. Build and execute a training design plan based on learner needs

  2. Become an expert for a range Facebook products and translate technical content into engaging learning experiences

  3. Design and develop engaging, informative, and visually compelling in-person and online learning experiences

  4. Provide strong visual design guidance to multiple training projects on copywriting, hierarchy, typography, layout and color

  5. Continually work to ensure all training materials are consistent and up-to-date and in line with products and larger training goals and initiatives

  6. Build relationships with key cross-functional partners to understand how your content is being received and engaged within market and take action based on feedback

  7. Stay up to date with training and education trends — always look for new ways to us to remain innovative and effective in democratizing education

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Communication Design, Graphic Design, Digital Marketing, or related field

  2. 2+ years of experience working for a design agency

  3. 2+ years of experience in educational content development for in-person training and eLearning

  4. Experience with visual design in Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint and other software used for developing engaging training experiences

  5. Experience in delivering training in a classroom setting

  6. Experience in leveraging eLearning technologies to create eLearning

  7. Consulting, relationship-management, and project management experience

  8. Portfolio of work

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with digital marketing and advertising teams and agencies
