Facebook Program Manager, TPM Programs in Seattle, Washington

Help improve and facilitate programs that focus on developing Facebook's growing Technical Program Manager community. This role includes working with Technical Program Management leads to develop new programs, driving events and scheduling, gathering feedback and measuring impact, and working with other discipline Program Managers and Technical Program Managers to grow the Technical Program Management Onboarding, Mentoring, and Ongoing Development Programs.You are a trailblazer, passionate connector and problem solver. You will help to grow the Technical Program Management team, connecting the community between groups at Facebook and promoting ongoing skill development. You will utilize a full range of organizational and interpersonal skills to identify needs in the Technical Program Management community, design solutions, and execute those programs to help grow team culture and industry expertise.Above all else, the Program Manager will help our TPM team get the mentorship and skills development to excel and builds community across all of our global teams and offices.

Required Skills:

  1. Partner with Technical Program Managers to identify skill development needs, design solutions to address them, and implement those programs

  2. Establish and support ongoing learning programs for Technical Program Managers (learning specific technical and data skills, communication skills, project management skills, etc.)

  3. Connect and build a strong community of Product Technical Program Managers between groups and global offices at Facebook

  4. Support the TPM Programs team with effective team communication, proactive problem solving, and information distribution

  5. Execute and evolve current onboarding, mentorship and education programs

  6. Develop measurement for (and grow the impact of) our programs in partnership with TPMs

  7. Ensure TPMs who contribute to the programs receive recognition for participation

  8. Coordinate internal & external events and activities across TPM Programs focused on mentorship and community building

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 7+ years of program management or equivalent experience

  2. Background in establishing systems, supporting teams, and developing relationships as producer, project manager, program manager or similar role

  3. Track record of operating independently, demonstrating creativity, being detail-oriented, and delivering results in a highly organized manner

  4. Successful in a fast-paced environment that requires independent time management, task prioritization, flexibility, and keen experience identifying problems and proactively working towards solutions

  5. Experience thinking outside the box when considering scalability, building new programs, and working collaboratively with cross functional partners

  6. Knowledge in peer to peer connection and ongoing mentorship when working with a population that has other priorities
