Partner Engineering is a highly technical team working directly with strategic partners, customers and content creators in APAC to help them build, grow and monetize their businesses and audiences using the Facebook platform.
In this role, you will engage with some of the world's most influential companies and people in Gaming. Working closely with our world-class engineering teams you will act as the technical contact point between Facebook and it's partners in the region, combining deep knowledge of Facebook's gaming and video product platforms with insight from working with key partners to identify, prototype and develop opportunities.
The primary regional focus areas for this role are Korea and Vietnam, so fluency in Korean or Vietnamese language, relevant work experience and business skills are considered a strong plus.
The ideal candidate will combine excellent technical skills as well as face to face business skills and can represent Facebook at developer events, conferences and trade shows to engage with audiences and deliver technical talks, so public speaking experience is considered a plus.
This full time position is based out of our Singapore office and involves significant travel, primarily to Korea and South East Asia (Vietnam, Thailand).
Deeply understand the Facebook platform architecture around gaming and video (Instant Games, Graph API, Live API) and related product offerings for developers across web and mobile.
Own technical relationships with key platform partners in Korea and Vietnam.
Debug complex technical issues as they arise from partners and creators.
Contribute feedback for innovative solutions to help nurture a healthy developer and creator ecosystem.
Develop prototypes for or modifications to tools and services that will help developers and creators succeed.
Manage platform feature launches, testing process and partner/creator edcuation.
Write sample apps and develop best practices to help developers and partners integrating with Facebook
Developer outreach through conferences, webinars, hackathons and direct interactions.
BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree and experience required.
Previous experience (4+ years) as a software engineer, technical consultant, game developer or partner/sales engineer is required.
Deep understanding and previous work experience with live video streaming platforms, html5 gaming platforms is a plus.
Existing experience with building Facebook apps or games, integrating Facebook API (e.g. Login, Analytics, Messenger, Live API) or comparable web APIs a plus.
Experience speaking to large technical and business audiences a plus
Willingness and ability to travel 15-20% of the time.
