Our manufacturing infrastructure team is responsible for building and supporting manufacturing infrastructure, connectivity between sites to ensure the success of the Consumer Hardware group. Oculus is seeking a senior network engineer to design, deploy, and operate its consumer hardware manufacturing network. This position will be working with a diverse technical team. This individual should have deep network knowledge and the ability to discuss and apply technical solutions to business challenges. This position is part of the Manufacturing Infrastructure team and will be based out of Shanghai.
Work on a team of highly technical and talented Oculus engineers chartered with building, scaling, deploying and maintaining the network infrastructure for our test-ware and manufacturing line.
Continuous evolve manufacturing network infrastructure with new technologies.
Oversee all network devices in the data centers and on the production lines.
Communicate timelines, service dependencies, resource constraints and progress with key stakeholders quickly and effectively.
Develop strong partnerships with third party contract manufacturers needed to ensure seamless delivery at manufacturing sites.
Bachelor’s Degree or related technical field.
5+ years of experience working with a cross-functional team at a multi-national company.
5+ years of Routing and Switching experience (CCIE R&S certificate required)
3+ years of experience with networking security (CCIE Security certificate required). Familiar with Palo Alto NGW or Imperva WAF is a plus
3+ years of experience designing, building and supporting Wi-Fi network (CCIE Wireless certificate required)
Solid understanding of hypervisor technologies (ESXi), and cross-platform integrations
Bachelor’s Degree preferably in MIS, CIS, Engineering or related technical experience.
Previous experience in manufacturing or other similar continuous production environments.
