Meta Research Scientist Intern, Computer Vision and Machine Learning (PhD) in Sunnyvale, California

Summary:

We have a clear mandate to ship products at scale. In particular, seemingly impossible products that define new categories that advance Meta’s mission of connecting the world. The Reality Labs Technology Engineering Camera Team seeks exceptional Interns with a background in Computer Vision, Machine Learning or Computer Graphics. The primary role of this internship is to design AR/VR algorithms for Meta products.Our internships are twelve (12) to twenty four (24) weeks long and we have various start dates throughout the year.

  1. Research, develop and prototype advanced technologies in the domain of computer vision, machine learning, computational photography and computer graphics.

  2. Advance academic excellence and make a direct impact on Meta products.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD degree in the field of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields

  2. Prior experiences in one or more topics related to: image understanding(image/video segmentation, object detection/tracking), depth estimation(stereo/RGBD) or scene rendering(NeRF and alike), computational photography/3A algorithms

  3. Proven track record of achieving results as demonstrated by co-authored publications at conferences such as CVPR/ECCV/ICCV, SIGGRAPH(Asia), NeurIPS/ ICLR/ICML etc

  4. Interpersonal skills: cross-group and cross-culture collaboration

  5. Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment

  2. A strong interest in theoretical and empirical research and for answering hard questions in research

  3. Ability to communicate complex research in a clear, concise and actionable manner

  4. Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by first authored publications at top-tier conferences such as CVPR/ECCV/ICCV, SIGGRAPH(Asia), NeurIPS/ ICLR/ICML etc

Public Compensation:

$7,313/month to $11,333/month + benefits
