Facebook seeks a highly motivated, team player to serve as Lead Litigation Counsel within our EMEA Legal team. You will manage significant and complex litigation matters including class action matters and advise internal teams on legal risks. The role requires good judgment, a strong work ethic, and a keen interest in learning about new technologies and areas of the law. This is a great opportunity to join a growing legal team and to work on novel issues in fast-paced, fun environment. This role is based in London or Tel-Aviv.

Required Skills:

  1. Supervise and direct outside counsel on multiple litigation matters including class action cases.

  2. Guide and execute litigation strategy in relation to high-profile, precedent setting matters pending before national and international courts

  3. Work with cross-functional teams on data protection, public policy, platform/partnership, product, privacy, IP, and commercial issues

  4. Develop creative approaches to managing legal risks and resolving disputes

  5. Ensure work product of the highest quality that furthers Facebook's strategic goals

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Qualified lawyer with 5+ years PQE in a law firm or in-house

  2. Excellent credentials from top law school

  3. 5+ years litigation experience, including extensive experience dealing with EMEA class action cases

  4. Prior experience working with internet or technology companies a plus

  5. Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and make sound judgments under tight deadlines

  6. Candidates must be flexible and willing to work on projects in other areas

  7. Passion for technology and innovation
