We are looking for a public policy manager to focus on building relationships, supporting third party projects and developing joint initiatives with internal and external stakeholders including government, NGOs, academia, industry associations, technology companies or other relevant organizations. The manager will support the Head of Public Policy in Israel and will become part of a team that is dealing with some of the most interesting public policy challenges of our times including privacy, safety and security, the impact of the Internet on economic growth, and new opportunities for stakeholder engagement.

This is an extraordinary opportunity to join our growing global public policy team and work on dynamic programs in an exciting, fast-paced environment. This is a full-time position, located in Tel Aviv.

Required Skills:

  1. Support the Head of Public Policy for Israel on priority policy issues and programs

  2. Identify, monitor and analyze relevant policy trends, legislative proposals, and issues of importance to the company

  3. Cross-functionally work with internal stakeholders such as legal, communications and the broader policy team

  4. Advise Facebook business, product, and regional policy teams on policy matters

  5. Build creative partnerships with advocacy groups, academia and industry bodies

  6. Represent Facebook in meetings with key external stakeholders

  7. Communicate Facebook’s positions in public presentations on related topics

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor degree in Public Policy, Law, Economics, or related field

  2. Excellent communication skills - both written and spoken in English and Hebrew (writing samples required)

  3. Demonstrated experience in public policy, legislation and/or government relations and advocacy

  4. Keen understanding of political systems and relevant policy and civil society institutions in Israel

  5. Ability to drive and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  6. Ability to think, plan, and execute resourcefully and creatively

  7. Passion for technology and Facebook’s mission

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Advanced degree in related field

  2. Experience in technology-related policy issues

  3. Experience in policy engagement or development for a multi-national corporation or institution
