Meta Software Engineering Manager, Catalog Media in Tel Aviv, Israel

Summary:

As part of Catalog Intelligence, the team works on improving the Media advertisers provide to drive seller outcomes. With Catalog powering $26B of annual revenue, and Media being one of the biggest levers to drive commerce, the team is a high leverage opportunity.By joining this team, you will get a deep exposure to the Ads and e-Commerce world and will help scale brand new products into the market while building and growing the team and influencing team direction and strategy.This position is in our Tel-Aviv office.

Required Skills:

Software Engineering Manager, Catalog Media Responsibilities:

  1. Be a product-oriented leader, an effective people manager and provide valuable technical guidance

  2. Mentor and support engineers' growth and success, help them to find and focus on their strengths

  3. Champion engineering and operational excellence, establishing metrics and process for regular assessment and improvement.

  4. Communicate across functions like data science and product management, and drive engineering initiatives

  5. Facilitate technical design discussions, help guide resolutions

  6. Define and influence product strategy for your team and contribute to that of the org

  7. Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Proven track record of supporting technical teams

  2. Strong problem solving skills and background in coding

  3. Demonstrated ability to manage technical teams

  4. Knowledge of growing teams and/or organisations

  5. Experience supporting product engineering teams

  6. BS / MS in Computer Science (In lieu of degree, relevant work experience)

  1. Experience of delivering real world impact through full-stack software product engineering

  2. Exceptional organizational and analytical skills

  3. Be willing to travel and collaborate with teams and partners in the US and UK

  4. Proven track record of forming effective partnerships with product designers, product managers and data scientists.

  5. Comfortable supporting a team working across multiple technologies

  6. Curiosity to learn about different company cultures and help shape them
