Facebook Creative Strategist, Greater China (Planner-based) in Hong Kong

Come be part of the creative team at Facebook that is leading the industry in new ways to build advertising ideas in the rapidly changing media, mobile and marketing world. As a Creative Strategist, you’ll be an essential team member tasked with inspiring and influencing how gaming advertisers build strategies, concept ideas and execute campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and the next set of Facebook ad platforms. We are looking for someone with experience in strategic planning for advertising in social media, with creative agencies, digital agencies or with marketers and advertisers. It would be an advantage to have a good understanding of the creative challenges that today’s companies have when it comes to launching campaigns and acquiring new users. We are looking for someone who has worked as Brand Strategist, Strategic Planner and Creative Director, with great visual and copy writing skills. You should have a strong understanding of how to develop and articulate creative ideas, and how to bring those ideas to life across the marketing funnel. Experience working with film and/or motion would be a benefit. Most of all you should be happy getting your hands dirty making creative work and inspiring others to make their work for our platforms better. This position is based in our Hong Kong office.

Required Skills:

  1. Drive brand and business strategy discussions of our top clients in Greater China to uncover huge business needs and opportunities in different local and overseas markets

  2. Uncover social insights and develop Facebook and Instagram solutions that drive the key business goals while maintaining a high bar for creativity

  3. Partner with others on the team, and also in the marketplace, to make your and their ideas shine, leveraging best practices to all campaigns and creative executions

  4. Be a thought leader on how Facebook and Instagram are fundamentally changing brand and direct response marketing, taking advantage of both strategies when applicable

  5. Work with Product teams on both Facebook and Instagram platforms to learn and use new product solutions driving timely innovation and relevance for clients on local and overseas markets

  6. Continually inspire our clients with a vision for their brands, game-changing ideas and plans to get them executed

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Experience developing strategically grounded, brilliant creative

  2. Fluent in English and Chinese (either Mandarin or Cantonese)

  3. Strong passion for visual storytelling via photography, videography and/or animation

  4. Fluent in all aspects of Facebook, from the massive reach to mobile and video best practices

  5. Fluent in all aspects of Instagram, from the creative community to creative excellence

  6. Articulate with critique of both strategic approach and aesthetic execution

  7. Excellent storytelling, verbal and written communications skills

  8. Able to think big and apply that to the wide range of opportunities – from individual campaign ideas to full on, long-standing content franchises

  9. Entrepreneurial – this team is inventing everyday and it takes tenacity, bravery and the ability to see the big opportunities to thrive

  10. Strategic – Deep understanding of brand marketing and how to build brilliant strategies across multiple verticals

  11. Creative – Able to think big and apply that to the wide range of opportunities – from individual publishing ideas to campaign ideas to full on, long-standing platforms

  12. A strong passion for people and desire to uncover consumer behavior, to help our global clients connect with customers in an impactful way

  13. 5+ years of experience in brand marketing/advertising

  14. Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  15. Experience with Keynote and PowerPoint. Experience with InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop a plus.
