Facebook Lead Counsel, Regulatory in Washington, District Of Columbia

Facebook seeks a motivated, experienced attorney to work on Facebook's Legal team. This position will focus on the company's regulatory docket in the United States and Canada relating to a diverse range of privacy, security, and consumer protection issues.

Required Skills:

  1. Develop and implement strategy for managing and resolving regulatory inquiries and investigations

  2. Represent the company in connection with regulatory inquiries and disputes, including supervision of outside counsel

  3. Collaborate with public policy and communications teams to develop and implement regulatory and policy strategy on important and breaking issues

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least one U.S. state bar

  2. 5+ years of legal experience, including at a law firm and/or in-house with experience representing companies in regulatory inquiries

  3. Experience with global privacy laws, regulations, and industry guidelines

  4. Experience in consumer protection

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Demonstrated record of legal and business judgment and strategic thinking

  2. In-house and/or experience advising business teams on product issues
