Facebook Legal Project Manager in Washington, District Of Columbia

Summary:

Facebook’s Legal Project Management Office (PMO) is seeking a Legal Project Manager to serve our growing Legal team with a focus on Compliance, IP, Apps/Platforms and Policy matters. This role is responsible for delivering key and complex projects within the Legal PMO portfolio. The Legal Project Manager will work closely with Legal team members focused on product matters and cross-functional partners in product areas to manage and run complex and strategic projects within the Facebook Legal. The ideal candidate will have an ability to see the big picture and incorporates problem solving, critical thinking and tactical execution into their daily work.

Required Skills:

  1. Manage one or more projects that span across various businesses, and which can be part of larger globally run programs

  2. Lead multiple work streams and/or project teams to execute against project plan

  3. Demonstrate strong capabilities to engage directly with Legal leadership on strategy and be able to pivot to granular detail within working team

  4. Promote, manage and deliver the continuous improvement of activities and project delivery

  5. Display effective organization skills and manage multiple and competing priorities

  6. Facilitate requirements gathering and drive creation of integrated project plans and timelines

  7. Development and maintenance of key project artifacts, ensuring that project management life cycle has been applied to projects and documents are drafted, reviewed and approved

  8. Propose solutions to manage client expectations and manage scope throughout the delivery of the project

  9. Drive standardization of delivery and activities to promote efficiency

  10. Demonstrate sharp attention to detail in executing and reviewing work products to ensure the highest quality deliverable within the allotted timeframe

  11. Integrate and synthesize information from multiple teams, within the legal and policy domain knowledge as it relates to our apps and products, in order to analyze complex issues, mitigate risks and solve problems

  12. Travel as needed (up to 10% depending on location and assigned projects) and occasionally internationally

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Legal, Technology or a related field

  2. 5+ years of program/project management experience

  3. Experience leading departmental and enterprise-wide projects and facilitating meetings with stakeholders

  4. Experience creating a logical and structured approach to planning, problem solving, and decision-making

  5. Experience collaborating with partners across multiple disciplines and functions, including Legal and Product teams

  6. Experience capturing project issues (technical and business) and guiding the team to resolve them

  7. Presentation experience

  8. Project Management training or studies

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience in project management roles within the technology or professional services industries

  2. Experience working on Legal, Compliance, IP or Policy projects

  3. Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Visio and PowerPoint) and Google Drive skills

  4. Project Management (PMP) certification
