The mission of the Privacy and Data Use team is to discover privacy vulnerabilities and data misuse on the Facebook family of apps. The duties cover both internal infrastructure and externally facing products.

We are seeking passionate hackers (Analysts and Engineers) who derive purpose in life by revealing potential weaknesses and then working with cross-functional teams on creative solutions to eliminate those weaknesses. Your skills will be the foundation of privacy initiatives that protect over a billion people. Analyze, assess, and respond to various privacy vulnerabilities we receive as part of our whitehat program.
Follow up with researchers on unclear reports.
Explore, understand and analyze the internal code base and flow of data to identified vulnerabilities.
Work with cross-functional teams to report and improve privacy issues.
Take a leadership role in driving internal privacy initiatives.
Experience with internet privacy and security issues
Communication experience with researchers, engineering and product teams
Experience ensuring security and privacy on the internet
Experience with big data and query languages
Experience with big data and relational databases (Hive, Presto, MySQL, etc.)
Experience with a scripting programming language (PHP, Python, Perl, Ruby, etc.)
Experience with large-scale systems and data processing pipelines
Ability to follow reports and reproduce them
Contributions to the privacy community (participation in bug bounty programs, public research, blogging, presentations, etc.)
