We’re looking for an experienced PM to join our Information Operations (IO) team and help direct our efforts to combat advanced online threats. The person in this role will work closely with other teams to understand and remove information operations that occur on our services. This is an opportunity to directly protect the safety of the Facebook community by detecting and stopping the types of influence campaigns that contribute to fake news, and harmful behaviors such as harassment or violence. The team emphasizes investigation, data analysis, innovation in scaling detection and human review systems via machine learning, and building user experiences that help keep the community at large safe. Our goals are ambitious, and we are looking for a proven leader to help shape our near- and long-term product efforts.
Understanding the different problems and prioritizing between them
Helping to define our policies
Identifying opportunities that will reduce the prevalence of abuse
Building systems to proactively detect or to help people report these issues
Reviewing tools used by investigators to find potential abuse
Building end-to-end flows for handling abuse including referring severe cases to law enforcement
5+ years product management experience, including delivery of entire products from start to finish
Communication and presentation experience
Organizational and analytical experience
Knowledge in technical architecture of scalable web applications and/or media products
Experience designing user interfaces and creating examples through wire frames and mock ups
Experience developing social products, technologies and platforms
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment
Experience with policymaking
Experience working with law enforcement or intelligence investigations
