Summary:

The Global Security Intelligence Team is part of the Global Security Intelligence and Investigations Team within Facebook Global Security. The Intelligence Team produces intelligence assessments to mitigate potential risks. The Regional Intelligence Team Leader oversees the production of intelligence reports and threat assessments for the designated region/function, as well as provides leadership and guidance related to the direction and completion of team projects and products. The Intelligence Team analyzes and assesses geopolitical risk and threats to Facebook's people, assets, and operations on a regional level, including but not limited to Location Risk, Travel Risk, Event Risk, Property Risk, Counterterrorism, and Brand and Reputation.

The successful candidate will provide analytical expertise to support a variety of cross-functional internal Facebook clients - headquarters and regional offices - within the Facebook Company for threat assessment and intelligence purposes with the goal of supporting the safety and security of our people, assets, and reputation.

The global presence of Facebook and the nature of Global Security operations require the Global Security Intelligence and Investigations Team to be available 24/7 to manage relationships, collect and analyze relevant information, and communicate to executives and stakeholders as needed regarding risks as they develop.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced analyst who excels at utilizing advanced analytic techniques to develop tailored intelligence products, and has an excitement for corporate security, analysis and problem-solving. The candidate will lead a regional team and be responsible for monitoring all-source information to proactively identify and assess risks and threats that could impact Facebook's people, assets and reputation. This is a cross-functional role that partners closely with Investigations, Protective Intelligence and other Global Security and Facebook internal teams.

Required Skills:

  1. Provide analytical guidance and content review for all intelligence reporting for the designated region/function.

  2. Oversee the production of intelligence reports and threat assessments for the designated region/function.

  3. Analyze and assess risks and threats to Facebook's people, assets and reputation across the designated region/function.

  4. Monitor all-source information to pro-actively identify and assess threats that could potentially impact Facebook's global workforce and business operations.

  5. Provide leadership and guidance related to the direction and completion of team projects.

  6. Train, coach and mentor internal team members, including leading the onboarding and training of new team members and maintaining the internal training program.

  7. Support an environment of protecting Facebook's people, assets, and reputation through pro-active intelligence reporting, information sharing, and partnering with Global Security and cross-functional FB partners.

  8. Utilize structured analytic techniques to develop tailored intelligence products and provide threat warning notifications to Facebook decision-makers, regionally and globally.

  9. Gather and analyze data to facilitate improvements in the methodologies, tools and techniques to enable the team to scale and optimize operations to mitigate potential risk.

  10. Appropriately leverage resources, technology, information, and tactics in a manner that protects reputation and minimizes risk.

  11. Develop and sustain a collaborative partnership with headquarters and regional partners.

  12. Develop and maintain strong relationships with other business partners and leaders to effectively support their respective Departments.

  13. Drive a respectful team culture centered on open communication, sharing, listening, and recognition of team members at all levels.

  14. Represent Facebook in external networking and organizations, as directed by Global Intelligence Manager.

  15. Manage external and vendor relationships, as directed by Global Intelligence Manager.

  16. Follow company procedures and processes as it relates to Global Security best practices, and handling of confidential information.

  17. Flexible work schedule, able to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

  18. Travel to regional and global offices and events annually (<25%).

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree.

  2. 5+ years of work experience in analytical disciplines.

  3. Analytical and problem-solving experience.

  4. Experience working in both individual and team environments.

  5. Proven experience in communication to executive-level audiences.

  6. Experience working with confidential information.

  7. Experience completing multiple tasks simultaneously and functioning with minimal supervision.

  8. Experience working in both individual and team environments.
