Facebook Security Engineering Manager - Red Team in Washington, District Of Columbia

Are you passionate about building mission critical teams in the security and privacy space? We are looking for an accomplished technical leader to define and build a Facebook Privacy Red team. The group will focus on proactively finding, documenting and driving resolution of data use violations by Facebook's products and services. The leader and the team will work with cross-functional teams, including policy, legal, engineering, and product. The team will be the foundation of privacy initiatives that protect over 2 billion people. The ideal leader will define and execute on targeted strategies to deep dive and expose internal data misuse and privacy vulnerabilities.

Required Skills:

  1. Build and develop Red Team analysts and security engineers

  2. Defining targeted strategies to resolve classes of problems

  3. Analyze, assess, and respond to various privacy vulnerabilities

  4. Work across cross-functional groups to define and drive the resolution to privacy issues

  5. Identify areas to automate privacy-focused testing

  6. Take a leadership role in driving internal privacy initiatives

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Hands-on technical management, with a proven experience building and developing teams

  2. 5+ years experience leading InfoSec, privacy, or anti-abuse operations teams

  3. Communication experience with cross-functional stakeholders

  4. Experience ensuring security and privacy on the internet

  5. Experience with big data and relational databases (Hive, Presto, MySQL, etc. )

  6. Knowledge of some scripting or programming languages (PHP, Python, Perl, Java, etc.)

  7. Experience working in an environment with large-scale data systems and data flows

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Expertise with a scripting programming language (PHP, Python, Perl, Ruby, etc.)

  2. Ability to follow reports and reproduce them

  3. Contributions to the privacy community (participation in bug bounty programs, public research, blogging, presentations, etc.)
