An important part of that mission is equipping elected officials, candidates, and government and political organizations with the tools needed to connect and engage with their communities. The tools we build also help people be informed voters in the lead up to elections, and help them find, follow, and connect with the people that represent them in government.

The Facebook Business Marketing team is looking for an experienced marketer to join the Vertical Marketing Communications team to develop messaging and content for Government, Politics and Advocacy partners. The ideal candidate has experience marketing to the political ecosystem, including elected officials, candidates, government and political organizations as well as political advertisers. In addition, he/she will be an expert at cross-functional collaboration with teams such as Policy, Communications and Legal to meet the needs of this evolving industry. He/she will have experience building highly-customized content from scratch, leading initiatives cross-functionally and creating value for these partners at scale. Excellence in communication, stakeholder management and simplifying Facebook's suite of tools and solutions to resonate with this audience is required.

Required Skills:

  1. Develop & execute creative marketing content that brings to life Facebook's organic and advertising tools leveraged by Government, Politics & Advocacy partners

  2. Maintain strong relationships with key cross-functional partners, including Facebook's Policy Outreach, Policy Communications, Legal and Civic Engagement teams

  3. Own and maintain Facebook's Politics & Government portal for GPA partners and produce corresponding deliverables (e.g., educational resources, presentations, guides, product collateral and pitch decks)

  4. Foster continued industry expertise by remaining embedded in key cross-functional teams to assess future resource needs from evolving political ecosystem

  5. Understand industry nuances across markets to localize Facebook Politics & Government website and corresponding deliverables globally

  6. Bring resources to market across Facebook's channels (e.g., Policy, Facebook for Politics & Government website, blog, online learning and advertising)

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years experience in marketing or advertising

  2. Knowledge of the political ecosystem and experience developing forward-looking strategy, positioning and messaging for the industry

  3. Experience thinking creatively for an evolving industry

  4. Experience as a relationship-builder with cross-functional stakeholders

  5. Experience with organization and balancing multiple projects concurrently

  6. Communication and presentation experience

  7. Analytical experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years experience in marketing or advertising to Government, Politics and Advocacy partners

  2. Adobe Creative Suite experience
